Treatment of 30 Cases of Obstructive Azoospermia Given by Tong Jing Tang [1]

Azoospermia is one of the sterility syndromes of male. Recent clinical evidence shows that this disease belongs to pseudo-azoospermia due to the obstructive spermaduct if the growth of spermary is general and the damage of contorted seminiferous tubules are not severe, most of the patients can be healed after conservative treatment. All the 60 cases are outpatients in our department, the patients are randomly divided into treatment group and contrast group with 30 cases in each group. Treatment method: as for contrast group: giving antibiotics: levofloxacin 200mg for intravenous drip, 2 times per day, 10 days are one course, then 10 days break before the second course. As to treatment group: providing self-built herbal decoction Tong Jing Tang with the ingredients of Jin Qian Cao [3] 30g, Hai Jin Sha [4] 15g, Qian Jin Ba 20g, Hu Zhang 15g, Bian Xu [5] 10g, Dan Shen [6] 10g, Bai Jiang Cao [7] 30g, Qin Pi 10g, roast Chuan Shan Jia [8] 10g, Hong Teng 30g, Lu Feng Fang 10g, Chuan Po Shi 15g, He Shou Wu [9] 15g, Wei Ling Xian [10] 10g, raw Gan Cao [11] 6g, Rou Gui [12] Xin 6g, Hua Shi [13] 10g, Tao Ren [14] 10g,. Wu Yao [15] 15g, Xiang Fu [16] 10g. Modification according to syndrome differentiation: adding Niu Xi [17], Ze Lan [18], Hong Hua [19] if there is varicocele; adding Zhi Mu [20], Huang Bai [21], Long Gu [22], Mu Li [23], Qian Shi [24] if there are dizziness, tinnitus, night sweating, spermatorrhea; adding Fu Zi [25], Niu Cai Zi, Yang Qi Shi if there are aversion to cold, soreness sensation on lumbar region and knees, impotence; adding Chuan Lian Zi [26], Li Zhi He if there is falling-distention pain in spermary; adding Pu Gong Ying [27], Zi Hua Di Ding [28], Bi Xie [29] if there are turbid urine or there are leucocytes in semen.
Treatment result: the total effective rate is 93.34% and 86.67% in treatment and contrast group respectively.
