Internal Medicine

We treat 100 cases of chronic non-specific ulcerative colitis with herbal clysis combining with west-medicine clysis, comparing and observing the treatment effect. Herbal clysis group was found obvious effect aiming at stopping pain, stopping Diarrhea, resolving bleeding. All the patients were divided randomly to two groups including herbal group and west-medicine group, 50 cases in each group. Treatment method: herbal group: self-built Ma Chi San Bai Tang decoction was used for clysis. The ingredients include Ma Chi Xian 50g, Bai Tou Weng 30g, Bai Fan 10g, Mu Xiang 10g, Huang Lian 15g, Yan Hu Suo 15g. Herbs with modification: adding Sheng Yu 30g, San Qi Powder 3g (dissolving into water) if there is bloody stools; adding Hai Er Cha 10g if there is mucosa off, adding Bai Shao 30g if there is abdominal pain. West-medicine group: Azo sulfasalazine, dexamethasone were used for clysis, 1 time each day, half month is one course, observing more than 2 courses.

Result: The total effective rate is 98% in herbal group, 80% in west-medicine group. For statistical analysis, there was a significant difference.
