4 INDICATIONS
Rhinorrhea manifested as nasal obstruction, headache, runny nose and loss of smell. For the cold-type of rhinorrhea followed by white, dilute and profuse nasal discharge, Magnolia flower (Xin Yi Hua) is used with Asarum herb (Xi Xin), Dahurian angelica root (Bai Zhi) and Xanthium fruit (Cang Er Zi). For the heat-type of rhinorrhea with yellow, thick and scanty nasal discharge, Magnolia flower (Xinyihua) is used with Menta (Bo He) and Scutellaria root (Huang Qin).
