The femoral adductors syndrome is a common disorder of the sport injury. In this study, 40 cases with definite diagnosis of femoral adductors syndrome were randomly divided to the treatment and control groups. 32 cases in treatment group had been treated satisfactory by electroacupuncture and moxibustion. The main points were Yinlingquan (SP9) He-Sea Point, Qugu (CV2), Yinlian (LR11), A Shi point, and the auxiliary points were Chengfu (BL36), Ciliao (BL32), Fengshi (GB31) and Zuwuli (LR10). Electro-acupuncture applied for 15 minutes at intensity tolerable to the patients. Moxa cone was performed on the main points for 10-15 minutes until the local skin became red and hot. The treatment has given once every other day; with 10 sessions constituting one course of treatment.8 cases were observed as the controls group, drugs such as fenbid and Chlorzoxazone were administered, and local irradiation with frequency spectrum was performed once every other day, for 10 minutes each time, with 10 sessions of treatment making up as one therapeutic course.


Results: In the treatment group, the total effective rate was 87.5%. In the control group, the total effective rate was 75%. The therapeutic effect was obviously better in the treatment group than that in the control group, showing a significant difference in the cure rate between the two groups (P<0.05).
