Treatment of 12 Cases of High Fever Given by Herbal Anorectal Drops Therapy [1]

There are 12 patients with high fever, which are induced from some exterior and interior cause including TCM influenza, common cold, warm disease etc, the symptoms include fever, thirsty, constipation, body pain, headache, the body temperature of all the patients are between 39 to 40 centigrade. Treatment method: Tong Bian Qing Re Xie Fei Tang with modification, basic prescription: Sheng Di Huang [3] 30g, Zhi Mu [4] 30g, Da Huang [5] 30g, Ting Li Zi [6] 30g, Huang Lian [7] 20g, Ge Gen [8] 30g, Niu Bang Zi [9] 30g, raw Shi Gao [10] 100g, Bai Jiang Cao [11] 100g. Modification: adding Chuan Bei Mu [12] 20g if there is large amount of sputum, adding Gua Lou [13] Ren 30g if there is fullness sensation on chest, adding Jie Geng [14] 20g, Xing Ren [15] 20g if there is cough, adding Niu Xi [16] 30g, Che Qian Zi [17] 30g if there is a little urine, the dosage for children should be regulated. Using principle: herbal concentrated liquid is transfused into anorectal with liquid drops device and in the depth of around 12-15cm, the therapy for children who are 5-9 years old should be decided in terms of the disease condition, the herbal temperature is about 35 centigrade, 1 time anorectal drops respectively in the morning and in the evening each day with concentrated herbal liquid, 200-300ml each time, patients use it at home, the speed for drops should be controlled by patients themselves. Result: 12 patients are all healed.
