Zang Fu System

Blood capillary’s function is substance exchange and transporting the water and nutrition substance to each tissue and organ in human body, the substance exchange occurs continuously during the transportation process, in general situation, the blood capillaries in the whole body work can make the human body faultlessly. We understand that the blood capillary has function of substance exchange and adequately absorbing the necessary material that the human body needs, the function mentioned above is the spleen’s function in TCM theory, spleen has the function of essence of water and grain, water and fluid transportation and transformation, it can ascend the clear Qi, spleen is the source of the generation of the Qi and blood, therefore, the TCM spleen has the similar function as the blood capillary. In TCM, the spleen being responsible for keeping blood within the vessels, it can be indicated that the spleen has the function of vessel, spleen controlling blood refers to keeping blood circulate within the vessels, it can prevent the blood leak out of the vessels. Blood capillaries is the small branches of the vessels. The blood is assured to circulate inside the blood capillaries and the systemic small arteries, small veins and cardiovascular system. The natural blood circulation ensures the blood circulates inside the vessels and never leak out. Spleen controls muscles and four limbs. Various blood capillaries maintain the normal metabolism of muscle fiber, ensure the normalization of movement system which consists of body composition of muscles and bones. There are numerous blood capillaries in the muscles, hence, muscle fullness and weight loss also reflects the situation of nutrients, therefore, TCM believes spleen control muscle, dominate the four limbs, it is also the function of blood capillary.
