Hemichorea

Scalp Acupuncture

Hemichorea has an involuntary choreic movement which is limited to limbs on one side of the body. It mostly occurs in middle age or old age people.   It can either be chorea rheumatism or progressive chronic chorea. Besides, it also can be the result of damage to the basal ganglia. 

The Selection of Stimulation: Chorea and tremor controlling area on the opposite side of the symptoms.

Scalp acupuncture in general can relieve the symptoms of Hemichorea. Some patients may be cured after a long term treatment.
