43 Cases of Postherpetic Neuralgia Treated with Chinese Herbs [1]

After the treatment of herpes zoster by routine antiviral drugs, 43 cases leave over neuralgia after deflorescence. Treatment; Da Qing Ye [3] 15g, Ban Lan Gen [4] 15g, Yan Hu Suo [5] 10g, Tao Ren [6] 10g, Hong Hua [7] 10g, Dan Shen [8] 20g and Wu Gong [9] 2g. one dose one day, and take in twice a day. External application: Wu Gong 10g and Bing Pian [10] 10g; dip them in 75% alcohol of 500ml for one week for reservation. Apply on the local region when get pain, 5~6 times a day, and observe the curative effect after one month. Treatment results: the total effect is 100%.
