1. To cool blood and stop bleeding; 2. To invigorate blood circulation and release stagnation


4 INDICATIONS
1. Hemorrhages due to extravasation of blood by heat. Rubia root (Qian Cao Gen [3]) is used with Japanese thistle (Da Ji [4]), Small thistle (Xiao Ji [5]) and Biota tops (Ce Bai Ye [6]).2. Amenorrhea caused by blood stagnation. Rubia root (Qiancaogen) is used with Chinese angelica root (Dang Gui [7]), Chuan Xiong [8] rhizome (Chuanxiong) and Cyperus tuber (Xiang Fu [9]).3. Blood stasis and pain caused by external injuries. Rubia root (Qiancao) is used with Safflower (Hong Hua [10]), Chinese angelica root (Danggui) and Red peony (Chi Shao [11]).4.Wind-damp obstruction syndrome (Painful joints). Rubia root (Qiancaogen) is used with Spatholobus stem (ji Xue Teng [12]) and Futokadsura stem (Hai Feng Teng [13]).
