Treatment of 83 Cases of Chronic Pelvic Inflammatory Disease by Method of Clearing Heat, Resolving Dampness, Moving Qi, Stopping Pain and Resolving Stagnation [1]

There are 83 cases in this group, whose ages are between 22 and 45 years old, the disease history is between 5 months and 5 years, among which, 50 cases have used antibiotics and drugs Dimetridazole but are ineffective, and the side-effect is serious. There are 15 cases combined with mass on adnexa, the mass size is from 2cm×3cm×4cm to 5cm×6cm×7cm. 10 cases have clear border while 5 cases have unclear border. Treatment method: prescription: Bai Jiang Cao [3] 20g, Hong Teng 15g, Huang Bai [4] 15g, Chuan Xiong [5] 12g, Chi Shao [6] Yao 12g, Dan Shen [7] 15g, Yan Hu Suo [8] 15g, Yi Yi Ren [9] 30g, Bian Xu [10] 15g, Qu Mai [11] 15g, Huai Shan Yao [12] 15g, Fu Ling [13] 15g. Adding San Leng [14] 10g, E Zhu [15] 15g, Chuan Shan Jiao 12g, Tu Bie Chong 6g if there is bump. Adding Dang Shen [16] 15g, Huang Qi [17] 20g if there is Qi deficiency. The hot dregs of a decoction will be inserted into pure towel or carbasus bag for the applied heat on the lower abdomen painful point or the mass area for 20-30 minutes. Spicy and dry hot food is prohibited during treatment period. The treatment course is between 20 and 60 days. Result: 46 cases are recovered, 10 cases’ bumps are resolved; 28 cases become better, 3 cases’ bumps’ size reduce,; 9 cases have no effect.
