“When in Tai Yang disease, ten or more days after channel passage, purging has instead been used two or three times, after four or five days, if Xiao Chai Hu [3] Tang pattern is still present, first give Xiao Chai Hu Tang.  If there is incessant retching, distress below the heart, and depression and mild vexation, it means that the disease has not yet resolved; giving Da Chai Hu Tang to purge will lead to recovery.

Bai Shao3Liang
Ban Xia [5] half Sheng (washed)
Sheng Jiang [6] 5 Liang (cut)
Zhi Shi [7] 4 pcs
Da Zao [8] 12 pcs (broken)
