There are 86 cases of chronic intractable urticaria, including 45 cases of wind heat syndrome, 26 cases of wind cold, and 11 cases of blood deficiency. Treatment: prescription: Dang Gui [3], Wu Shao She, Bai Hua She, Jing Jie [4], Fang Feng [5], Jiang Can [6], Chan Tui [7], Chi Shao [8], Mu Dan Pi [9], Huang Bai [10], Di Fu Zi [11], Ku Shen [12], Bai Bu [13] and Cang Zu. Modification: wind cold type: white blotch, attacks when catch the cold, averse to cold, fever, adiaphoresis, thin and white tongue coating, superficial and tense pulse. Relieve exterior syndrome with drugs acrid in flavor and warm nature, expel wind and relieve itching; add Bai Fu Zi [14], Xi Xin [15] and Gui Zhi [16] in the prescription to warm meridian and dispel coldness. Excess stomach heat and wind heat type: red blotch, severe itching, burning sense of skin, upset, thirst, red tongue, superficial and rapid pulse. Dispel wind, clear away heat, cool and activate blood, and clear heat in lung and stomach. Add Da Qing Ye [17], Jin Yin Hua [18], Lian Qiao [19], raw Di Huang, Shi Gao [20], Sang Bai Pi [21], Ju Hua [22], Bo He [23] (be decocted later) and raw Da Huang [24] to clear away heat, cool heat, dispel pathogenic wind. Blood deficiency: repeated outbreak of urticaria, dizziness, fatigue, pale tongue and weak pulse. Benefit qi, nourish blood and dispel pathogenic wind. Add raw Di Huang, Bai Shao [25], Chuan Xiong [26], Huang Qi [27], He Shou Wu [28], She Chuang Zi, Bai Xian Pi [29] in the prescription to nourish yin and tonify blood. Treatment result: the total effect is 98.83%.
