Vascular dementia occurs on basis of cerebrovascular disease. The main manifestations are memory and cognition function impairments, accompanied with acquired intelligent and persistence damages of language, vision, emotion and personality disturbance. Apply Bu Qi Xing Nao Kai Qiao Fa; prescription: Huang Qi [3] 50g, Ren Shen [4] 10g, Shi Chang Pu [5] 30g, She Xiang [6] 0.2g (take it with water), Bing Pian [7] 6g (take it with water), Bai Zhi [8] 10g, Xi Xin [9] 6g, Chuan Xiong [10] 20g; add Shui Zhi [11], Dan Shen [12] and Chuan Shan Jai for blood stasis; add Tian Zhu Huang, Gua Lou [13] Ke and Zhe Bei Mu for phlegm retention; add prepared Di Huang, Gou Qi Zi [14] and Zi He Che for liver and kidney deficiency. Treatment results: the total effective rate is 87.09%.
