Verruca Plana Treated by Niu Bang Zi with Large Dose [1]

These 94 cases in this group are outpatients in recent 4 years. The clinical manifestations are almost same, and the main syndromes are as follows: flat knurls with the sizes from coccode to soybean, smooth and hard surface, light brown or normal skin color, oval or polygon, growth in cluster; about 70% patients have the same patches on back of the hands. Most of the patients have the normal tongue and pulse. Treatments: Niu Bang Zi [3] are used as the main drugs, and served with Fu Ping [4], Da Qing Ye [5], Xi Xin [6], Ban Lan Gen [7] and Huang Qin [8]. The 6 drugs are used as main prescription and be modified according to syndromes. Add Huang Qi [9] and Bai Zhu [10], etc for weak patients; Cha Hu and Zhi Zi [11], etc for liver stagnation; add Sheng Di Huang [12] and Dan Pi, etc for excess heat in blood. Add 600ml water in the above drugs, and take 300ml decoction, one dose a day; take 20ml decoction from every dose, and apply it on Skin rashes with cotton, 3 times a day and one course is 7 days. Discontinue any other drugs during the course of medication, and evaluate the curative effect after 2 courses.

Results: The total curative effect is 98%.
