3 FUNCTIONS
1. To astringe the lungs; 2. To astringe the intestines; 3. To stop pain


4 INDICATIONS
1. Chronic cough due to deficiency of the lungs. Poppy capsule (Ying Su Ke [3]) is used with Black plum (Wu Mei [4]).    2. Chronic Diarrhea [5] or chronic dysentery. Poppy capsule (Yingsuke) is used with Coptis root (Huang Lian [6]), Costus root (Mu Xiang [7])and Dried ginger (Gan Jiang [8]).    3. Pain. Poppy capsule (Yingsuke)is used alone for the treatment of pain.
