Chinese Massage

There are 86 cases of patients who are diagnosed as protrusion of lumbar discs by examination of CT and X-ray. Treatment method: patient takes prostrate position on massage bed (underlay a thin pillow under the lumbar region of patient), both hands hold bed end with deep breathing. The doctor holds both feet of patients with tension and shake for 10 minutes. Thumb-kneading from Dazhui (GV14) to lumbar vertebra along spinous process of each thoracic vertebra for 2 times, finger-pressing from up to down along both side musculus sacrospinalis and fasciae of lumbar and back for 5-6 times, detaching both side fasciae fro 5-6 times. Finger-pressing on Weizhong (BL40) He-Sea Point, Lower Confluent Point, Sanjiaoshu (BL22), Dachangshu (BL25), Shenshu (BL23), Zhibian (BL54), Huantiao (GB30 ), etc for half minute respectively. Reposition method: patient takes prostrate position, the doctor stands at the affected side, faces to patient, lifts up the patient’s thigh with the doctor’s arm and elbow (patient’s thigh extends) and uses thumb of another hand pressing the protrudent spinous process, patient takes deep breathing, the doctor push-presses the patient’s affected spinous process to opposite side with appropriate strength during the patient’s expiration, it is better to hear sound.


Treatment result: within the 86 cases, 52 cases are healed, 25 cases showed effect, 6 cases are effective, 3 cases without effect..
