Self Massage

1. Prescription
Head and Neck: Fengchi (GB20), Fengfu (GV16), Taiyang, Baihui (GV20).
Shoulder and Back: Dazhui (GV14), Dazhu (BL11) Influential point of bone, Feishu (BL13), Jianjing (GB21), Jianzhongshu (SI15), Jianliao (TE14), Jianyu (LI15).
Chest and Abdomen: Naohu (GV17).
Arm: Quchi (LI11) He-Sea Point, Shousanli (LI10), Hegu (LI4) Yuan-Source Point, Xiaohai (SI8) He-Sea Point,Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point.
Leg: Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point, Kunlun (BL60) Jing-River Point, Yanglingquan (GB34) He-Sea Point, Influential Point of Tendon.


2. Technique of Massage
2.1 Take sitting position, index finger, middle finger, ring finger of one hand together, press-knead neck region from GB20 down to place level with GV14, repeat the operation for 5 times.
2.2 Take sitting position, one palm forcefully rub GB20 of one side to the other, repeat the operation for several times. Then move downwards and rub left and right until to GV14.
2.3 Take sitting position, thumb finger on one side of GB20 and index, middle fingers on the other, hold neck muscle from up to neck root, repeat the operation for 3-5 times.   
2.4 Take sitting or standing position, index fingers, middle fingers and ring fingers of both hands place on soft tissues 1.5 cun lateral to spinous process of cervical vertebra, pluck downwards from place level with GB20 to neck root, repeat the operation for 3-5 times.
2.5 Take sitting position, one thumb gently press on GV16 for 30 seconds, GB20 for 30 seconds, GB21 for 30 seconds, SI15 for 30 seconds, BL11 for 30 seconds.
2.6 Hollow-fists gently tap occipital head for 1 minute, nape for 1 minute, shoulder for 1 minute.
2.7 Take neck and nape frontal bending practice for 20 times.
Take neck and nape posterior extending practice for 20 times.
Take neck and nape left and right recumbent bending practice for 20 times.
Take neck and nape rotation for 20 times.
Please do not move fast, increase practice according to actual situation.
2.8 Shake shoulder with large range, both sides of shoulder practice individually with clockwise and anticlockwise respectively for 20 times.
2.9 For patient with numbness and pain, hold-pinch the muscles of arm from shoulder to wrist, repeat the operation for 3-5 times.
Then, press-knead LI11, LI10, LI4, PC6 for 30 seconds respectively.
2.10 For patient with dizziness and head-distention, press-knead GB20, GV20, Taiyang for 30 seconds respectively.
2.11 For patient with nausea and vomiting, press-knead PC6, ST36 for 30 seconds respectively.
2.12 For patient with fullness on the chest, press-knead PC6, GV17 for 30 seconds respectively.
