Yang Activating Decoction is invented for all yin-gangrene and yin-cold syndrome, the prescription including Shu Di Huang, Lu Jiao Jiao, Bai Jie Zi, Rou Gui, Jiang Tan, Ma Huang, Gan Cao etc. Ma Huang has the function as adrenalin in this prescription, it can stimulate central nerves, accelerate heartbeat, disperse the skin and interstitial space on  exterior, penetrate into accumulative phlegm and obstructive blood in interior; Lu Jiao Jiao may warm yang and tonify kidney, expel yin obstruction and reinforce the deficiency; Shu Di Huang combining with Ma Huang can replenish blood without nourishing greasiness; Jiang Tan and Rou Gui can warm kidney, dispel cold, stop pain and warm meridians; Bai Jie Zi has the function of penetration of the meridians, resolve phlegm and promote stasis. The whole prescription can reinforce deficiency and blood, warm yang and resolve stagnation, disperse cold and dredge meridians. What is called "uterine collaterals can accepting life, warm uterus may gestating life but cold uterus will kill the life". Uterine collaterals obstruction is caused by kidney deficiency, blood stasis, cold coagulation and stagnation, the clinic symptoms including irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, large amount or small amount of menses, soreness sensation on lumbar region and knees, coolness on lower abdomen, undersexed, pale tongue with white coating, deep-thready pulse, sterility for many years after marriage, disquiet emotion. Yang Activating Decoction is a prescription of nourishing and reinforcement, if you make modification according to symptoms and combine with assistant psychotherapy, you can get good effect every time.
