Hiccups: a) due to cold in the stomach-Persimmon calyx (Shi Di [3]) is used with Cloves (Ding Xiang [4]) and Fresh ginger (Sheng Jiang [5]); b) due to heat in the stomach-Persimmon calyx (Shidi) is used with Reed root (Lu Gen [6]) Bamboo shavings (Zhu Ru [7]).
