4 INDICATIONS
1. Constipation due to dryness in the intestines. Hemp seed (Huo Ma Ren [3]) is used with Chinese angelica root (Dang Gui [4]), Prepared rehmannia root (Shu Di Huang [5]) and Apricot seed (Xing Ren [6]) in the formula Yixue Runchang. Wan.2. Constipation with hemorrhoids due to dryness and heat in the large intestine. Hemp seed (Huomaren) is used with Rhubarb (Da Huang [7]) and Magnolia bark (Hou Po [8]) in the formula Maziren Wan.


5 DOSAGE
10-30 g


6 COUTIONS
This herb is contraindicated in cases with Diarrhea [9].
