1.To dispel wind and clear heat; 2.To brighten eyes and remove visual obstruction; 3.To stop bleeding


4 INDICATIONS
1. Wind-heat exterior syndrome or wind and heat in the liver meridian manifested as red eyes, excessive tearing, blurred vision and corneal opacity. Shave grass (Mu Zei [3]) is used with Cicada slough (chan-tui), Pipewort (Gu Jing Cao [4]), Prunella spike (Xiakrucao) and Tribulus fruit (Bai Ji Li [5])2. Hemorrhoidal bleeding. Shave grass (Muzei) is used with Scutel-laria root (Huang Qin [6]) and Burnet root (Di Yu [7]).


5 DOSAGE
3-10 g


6 COUTIONS
This herb should be used with caution during pregnancy.
