Treatment of Acute, Chronic and Allergic Rhinitis Given by Acupuncture [1]

There are 183 cases of outpatients in this group, whose disease history are 5-30 days. Among which, 62 cases are acute rhinitis, 71 cases are chronic rhinitis, 50 cases are allergic rhinitis. Treatment method: (1) Dazhui (GV14) [3], Fengchi (GB20) [4]Yingxiang (LI20) [5], Hegu (LI4) Yuan-Source Point [6]Lieque (LU7)Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point [7];(2) GV14, UB12, UB13, UB20, UB23. Group 1 points use acupuncture, group 2 points use warm moxibustion. The doctors use both hands to apply moxa warming stick convolutedly from up to down on two points on both sides at same time until the local area become red, moist and hot. The above treatment should be performed one time per day, 10 days are one course.

Result: total effective rate is 95.6%.
