Treatment on Various Chronic Glomerulonephritis Given by Self-built Rou Gan Jian Pi Yi Shen Tang [1]

The clinical main symptoms of Chronic Glomerulonephritis are eyelid and four limbs edema, bloody urine, albuminuria, hypertension etc. Its clinical symptoms are divided into 4 TCM types: lung-kidney deficiency, spleen-kidney yang deficiency, liver-kidney yin deficiency, qi and yin deficiency. Rou Gan Jian Pi Tang prescription’ ingredients: Huang Qi [3], Dang Shen [4], Huang Qin [5], Mai Men Dong [6], Sheng Di Huang [7], Di Gu Pi [8], Chai Hu [9], Chuan Xiong [10], Chi Shao [11] Yao, Bai Shao [12] Yao, Bai Zhu [13], Cang Zhu [14], Shan Yao [15], Shi Wei [16], Juan Bai, Bai Hua She She Cao, Ban Zhi Lian, Fu Ling [17], Che Qian Cao. Function: promoting qi and clearing heart, soothing liver and relieving depression, nourishing liver and blood, clearing heat and relieving toxicity, tonifying spleen and eliminating damp, inducing diuresis for treating stranguria. The writer applied this prescription with modification to cure numerous cases of chronic glomerulonephritis, experienced that we should not only focus on lung, spleen, kidney three Zang’s physiologic function and physiologic change but also pay close attention to the regulating of liver when we treat chronic glomerulonephritis; furthermore, we would be well-advised to focus on the elevation of whole body’s immune function, then, the kidney disease would heal and will not recurrence any more.
