The Experience of Shixiong Zhang on Treating Cancer [1]

My father Shixiong Zhang has treated 730 cases cancer of 26 kinds by self-made Mie Ai Tang and Mie Ai San and received certain effects. The results are summarized as follows. Main treatment principles: astrict and restrain the disease to control the development first, then support vital qi and regulate qi to consolidate origin, and dispel the disease by combined approach of reinforcement and expulsion at last. Mie Ai Tang: Shui Zhi [3] 2g, Nao Sha 0.5g, Mu Xiang [4] 3g, Yue Shi 3g, Bai Fan 3g, Zi Bei Chi [5] 10g, Bing Lang [6] 10g, Dai Zhe Shi [7] 10g, Xuan Shen [8] 10g, Xia Ku Cao [9] 15g, Dang Shen [10] 15g, Chen Pi [11] 6g, Da Huang [12] 5g and Dan Shen [13] 30g. Usage: decoct drugs above with 100ml water and take it orally; one dose for each other day and take it for few times. Mie Ai San: Da Huang 12g, Bai Fan 20g, San Qi [14] 20g, Hong Shen 20g, Xue Jie [15] 10g, Ren Zhong Bai 6g and She Xiang [16] 1g. Usage: grind the drugs above into fine powder and divide into 20 packages; make the drugs into paste with warm water and take it in oral slowly; one package at morning and afternoon respectively.

(1) Gastric cancer and esophagus cancer: alleviate the symptoms in main at the early stage of the disease, treat origin also and clean up stagnations in intestine and stomach by Da Cheng Qi Tang. Astrict and restrain the disease at the middle and later stages, assiste with tonifying middle energizer and strengthening spleen.

(2) Liver cancer: combine with Long Dan Xie Gan Tang to clear pathogenic heat and toxin in liver, and reduce the stagnation heat in liver; Tao Hong Si Wu Tang are applied to clear heat and active blood stasis in liver, and nourish yin blood in liver.


(3) Intestine cancer: when take Mie Ai Tang, do enteroclysm with Ya Dan Zi decoction; and decoct Bai Tou Wong Tang and Yunnan Bai Yao with water for enteroclysm reservation.
