Stroke tuberosity of tibia downwards with one hand from the centre of knee-cap, 1 cun directly below the external lower border of the tuberosity of tibia. 3. Bid the patient press his knee-cap, and stroke tibia below the knee joint, the spot where the tip of his middle finger touches is ZusanliST36 (Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point ).

Gastric pain, vomiting, hiccup, abdominal distension, borborygmus, Diarrhea , dysentery, constipation, mastitis, enteritis, aching of the knee joint and leg, beriberi, edema, cough, asthma, emaciation due to general deficiency, indigestion, apoplexy, hemiplegia, dizziness, insomnia, and mania.

Insert the needle perpendicularly 1.0-1.5 cun deep; needling response: local sensation of distension, radiating towards the foot, or up towards the knee joint; moxibustion: using 5-7 moxa-cones, mild moxibustion for 15 min.
