3 FUNCTIONS
1. To tonify the kidneys and strengthen yang; 2. To expel wind and dampness


4 INDICATIONS
1. Deficient kidney yang manifested as impotence weakness of the lower back and knees and frequent urination. Epimedium(Yin Yang Huo [3])is used with Curculigo rhizome( Xian Mao [4]) and Prepared erhmannia root (Shu Di Huang [5]).    2. Cold pain in the lower back and knees and numbness of limbs due to obstruction by invasion of wind-cold-dam. Epimedium (Yinyanghuo) is used with lematis root (Wei Ling Xian [6]), Eucommia bark (Du Zhong [7])and Cinnamon twigs(Gui Zhi [8]).


5 DOSAGE
10-15g


6 COUTIONS
This herb is contraindicated in cases with deficiency of yin with excessive fire.
