3 FUNCTIONS
1. To invigorate blood and remove stagnation; 2. To promote menstruation.


4 INDICATIONS
1. Amenorrhea or abdominal and epigastric masses caused by blood stagnation. Leech (Shuizi) is used with Peach seed (Tao Ren [3]), Burreed tuber (San Leng [4]) and Chinese angelica root (Dang Gui [5]).2. Chest pain, abdominal pain and constipation caused by blood stagnation due to external injury. Leech (Shui Zhi [6]) is used with Pharbitis seed (Qianniuzi) and Rhubard (Da Huang [7]) in the formula Duoming Dan.


5 DOSAGE
3-6 g; 0.3-0.5 g for baked powber


6 COUTIONS
This substance is contraindicated during pregnancy.
