1. Retention of food. Germinated millet (Gu Ya [3]) is used with Medicated leaven (Shen Qu [4]) and Hawthorn fruit (Shan Zha [5]).2. Weakness of the spleen and stomach manifested as poor appetite, Germinated millet (Guya) is used with Pilose asiabell root (Dang Shen [6]), White atractylodes (Bai Zhu [7]) and Tangerine peel (Chen Pi [8]).
