Liver ,spleen and stomach


3 FUNCTIONS
1. To dispel cold and stop pain; 2. To pacify the liver and direct rebellious qi downward; 3. To stop vomiting


4 INDICATIONS
1. Cold attacking the spleen and stomach manifested as epigastric and abdominal cold pain. Evodia fruit (Wu Zhu Yu [3]) is used with dried ginger (Ganjinag) and costus root (Muxinag).2. Cold stagnation in the liver meridians manifested as hernia. Evodia fruit (Wuzhuyu) is used with fennel fruit (Xiao Hui Xiang [4]) and Lindera root (Wu Yao [5]).3. Weakness of spleen and stomach, and liver qi sising upward manifested as headache and vomiting. Evodia fruit (Wuzhuyu) is used with ginseng (Ren Shen [6]) and Fresh ginger (Sheng Jiang [7]) in the formula Wuzhuyu Tang.4. Deficiency and cold of the spleen and kidneys manifested as chronic Diarrhea [8]. Evodia fruit (Wuzhuyu) is used with Schisandra fruit (Wu Wei Zi [9]) and Nutmeg (Rou Dou Kou [10]) in the formula sishen Wan.5. Beriberi. Evodia fruit (Wuzhuyu) is used with chaenomeles fruit (Mu Gua [11]) for external application.6. Vomiting and acid regurgitation:a ) cold in the stomach-Evodia fruit (Wuzhuyu) is used with fresh ginger (Shengjiang) ad Pinellia tuber (Bnxia);b) fire transformed from prolonged liver qi stagnation-Evodia fruit (Wuzuyu) is used with coptis root (Huang Lian [12]) in the formula Zuojin Wan.

1.5-5g
