1. Edema. Phaseolus seed (Chi Xiao Dou [3]) is used with Imperata rhizome (Bai Mao Gen [4]) and Mulberry bark (Sangbiaipi).2. Edema due to deficiency in spleen or kidndys. Haseolus seed (Chixiaodou) is cooked with carp to make a soup for drinking.3. Boils and carbuncle due to toxic heat. The decoction of Phaseolus seed (Chixiaodou) is used externally for washing.4. damp-heat jaundice. Phaseolus seed (Chixiaodou) is used with Oriental wormwood (Yin Chen Hao [5]) and Capejasmine(Zhi Zi [6]).
