3 FUNCTIONS
1. To clear heat and release toxins; 2. To cool the blood and stop dysentery.

4 INDICATIONS
Dysentery, manifested as fever, abdominal pain, bloody and pus-like stool and tenesmus. Pulsatilla root (Bai Tou Weng [3]) is used with Phellodendron bark (Huang Bai [4]) and Coptis root (Huang Lian [5]) in a formula such as Baitouwent Tang.

6-15 g
