1. To clear heat and promote the production of body fluids; 2. To reduce swelling and dispel pus


4 INDICATIONS
1. Thirst in febrile diseases. Trichosanthes root (Tian Hua Fen [3]) is used with Glehnia root (Sha Shen [4]), Ophiopogon root (Maidong), and Reed root (Lu Gen [5]).2. Extreme thirst in diabetes. Trichosanthes root (Tianhuafen) is used with Pueraria root (Ge Gen [6]), Schisandra fruit (Wu Wei Zi [7]) and Anemarrhena rhizome (Zhi Mu [8]).3. Dry cough due to lung heat. Trichosanthes root (Tianhuafen) is used with Mulberry bark (Sang Bai Pi [9]), Tendrilled fritillary bulb (Chuan Bei Mu [10]) and Platycodon root (Jie Geng [11]).4. Boils and carbuncles. Trichosanthes root (Tianhuafen) is used with fritillary bulb (Chuanbeimu) and Honeysuckle flower (Jin Yin Hua [12]).

10-15 g


6 COUTIONS
This herb should be used with caution during pregnancy.
