Huang Qi [3] Gui Zhi [4] Tang is from  Jin Gui Yao Lue, ingredients are Gui Zhi Tang without Gan Cao [5], with double dosage of Sheng Jiang [6] and add Huang Qi. Its functions are to benefit qi, harmonize nutrient blood, it can treat muscle numbness, blood Bi syndrome with hesitant and tense pulse, cerebral paralysis, paralysis of lower extremities, rheumatic arthritis etc. ingredients include Huang Qi 40g, Bai Shao [7] Yao 25g, Gui Zhi 15g, Sheng Jiang 50g, Da Zao [8] 12 pieces. Explanation: tonify yang qi and promote qi and blood circulation, Huang Qi benefits qi and strengthen defensive system; Bai Shao Yao promotes nutrient blood; Gui Zhi communicates yang; Sheng Jiang and Da Zao regulate defensive and nutrient systems. Bi syndrome can be recovered after qi and blood are circulated.
