Observation on Curative Effect of Type II Diabetes Treated with Egg Custard as An All-purpose [1]

On basis of folk prescription for treating type II diabetes, the author summarized the treatment of type II diabetes with egg custard combining hypoglycemic agent according to the patients’ main clinical manifestations. In the 5 years’ clinical treatment, it proves that the curative effect is obvious.  36 cases of type II diabetes are in accordance with diabetes diagnostic standard of WHO and divided into group A and group B. 11 cases in group A mainly take in sulfonylurea hypoglycemic agent. 25 cases in group B take in both sulfonylurea hypoglycemic agent and egg custard. Da Dou 10g, Chi Xiao Dou [3] 10g, He Tao Ren [4] 5g, Gou Qi Zi [5] 5g and Shan Zhu Yu [6] 5g are grinded into powder, 2 egged are mixed into it and steamed. The medicine is taken in the morning and afternoon. Curative effect is observed after 50 days. Avoiding glycemic diet in both groups. Results: the total effect in group A is 45% and 80% in group B.
