Chinese Medicine Classic / Nei Jin [2]

If one exhales once while the pulse beats once, and inhales once while the pulse beats once, it is called scant qi. One exhales once while the pulse beats three times, and inhales once while the pulse beats three times agitatedly; if the cubital skin is hot, the patient suffers from a febrile disease; if the cubital skin is not hot and the pulse is slippery, the patient is afflicted with wind; if the pulse is uneven, there is an impediment disease. If the pulse disappears and fails to come again, it is fatal. If the pulse is abruptly slow and suddenly rapid, it is deadly as well.
