Chinese Medicine Classic / Nei Jin [2]

The Emperor asked: “The spleen connects to the stomach by membranes. How can the spleen move fluids for the stomach?”

Qi Bo answered: “The foot Taiyin spleen channel is the third yin channel. It connects with the stomach, spleen and throat. So the spleen moves qi in the three yin channels for the stomach. The stomach dominates the exterior. It is the sea of five zang-organs and six fu-organs. The spleen also moves qi in the three yang channels for the stomach. All the organs are endowed with qi from the stomach through their channels.”
