Chinese Medicine Classic / Nei Jin [2]

he Emperor asked: “Why does someone die the middle way?”

Qi Bo answered: “This is because the person has fragile five zang-organs, there philtrum are short, and the nostrils are abnormal open. Gasping and fulminant disease occur. The face is thin without plump. The vessels are thin and the blood is scant. His muscles are not strong. The evils of cold and wind attack repeatedly. His blood and qi become weak. The meridians become obstructed. The genuine qi conflicts with evils. Unfortunately the genuine qi do not prevail, the evils get into the body. So his life will end in middle way.”
