Observation on Curative Effect of Lateral Epicondylitis Treated with Electro-acupuncture [1]

Lateral epicondylitis is also called “tennis elbow”, and it is the common and frequently occurring disease. Treatment: treatment group: LI 11, LI 10, LI 4 and A Shi points (pressure points on external sides of elbow), apply electro-acupuncture with moderate dilatational wave electric current intensity which patients can tolerate and be comfortable. Remain for 30 minutes, once day and 5 times treatment is one course; control group: apply diclofenac of 50mg, twice a day. During pain period, advise patients avoid using affect limb, and take a good rest and keep warm. Evaluate curative effects after two treatment courses. Observation on curative effect: in the treatment group of 58 cases, the total effect is 100% and 87.5% in the control group of 32 cases.
