Clinical Observation on Chronic Pelvic Inflammation Treated by Dang Gui Shao Yao San combining with Yi Yi Fu Zi Bai Jiang San with Both Internal and External Application [1]

The author has treated 176 cases of chronic pelvic inflammation by Dang Gui [3] Shao Yao San combining with Yi Yi Fu Zi [4] Bai Jiang San of “Synopsis of Golden Cabinet” with both internal and external application. All the patients in this group are all married and diagnosed by gynecologial and type-B ultrasonic examinations. Prescriptions: Dang Gui, Bai Shao [5], Fu Ling [6], raw Bai Zhu [7], Ze Xie [8], Chuan Xiong [9], Yi Yi Ren [10], Fu Zi and Bai Jiang Cao [11]. One dose a day and 14 days treatment is one course. Add Yuan Hu and Wu Yao [12] for severe abdominal pain; add Chuan Lian Zi [13] and Mu Xiang [14] for lower abdominal distention; add Da Huang [15] for constipation; add Bai Bai and Shan Zhi Zi [16] for leukorrhagia with yellowish color and foul smelling. Fry the drugs with yellow wine of 200ml, packaged it with cloth and apply on the lower abdomen.

Results: the total effective rate is 92.05%.
