Stomach Meridian

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-lateral border and anterior sheath of rectus muscle of abdomen-lateral border of rectus muscle of abdomen.
In the superficial layer, there are the lateral and anterior cutaneous branches of the anterior branches of the 11th and 12th thoracic nerves and the 1st lumbar nerve, and the branches or teibutaries of the superficial epigastric artery and vein, In the deep layer, there are the branches or trbutaries of the inferior epigastric artery and vein, and the muscular branches of the anterior branches of the 11th and 12th thoracic nerves.


Location:
Supine position; 2 cun laterally apart from QuguCV2(Qugu (CV2)) and 1 cun above the level of QuguCV2 (CV2) which is in the depression over the upper border of pubic symphysis.
Function:
Regulating the menstruation and leukorrhea, regulating the flow of the flow of qi to alleviate pain.


Indications:
Abdominal pain, hernia, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, and leukorrhea, seven kinds of hernia.


Prescription:
Combined use with ZusanliST36 (Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point) for treatment of hysteroptosis; with YinlingquanSP9 (Yinlingquan (SP9) He-Sea Point) for treatment of cystitis; and with GuanyuanCV4 (Guanyuan (CV4) Front-Mu Point of the SmallIntestine) and SanyingjiaoSP6 (Sanyinjiao (SP6)) for treatment of prostatitis.


Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly 0.5-1 cun deep; needling response: local sensation of distension, irradiating toward the pudendal area; moxibustion: using 7-15 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 15 min.
