Dispel Wind-Dampness

1 TASTE
Pungent sweet and warm


2 MERIDIANS
Spleen and stomach


3 FUNCTIONS
1. To dispel wind and dampness; 2. To harmonize the stomach and transform dampness


4 INDICATIONS
1. Damp-heat obstruction syndrome. Silkworm excrement (Can Sha) is used with Tetrandra root (Fang Ji), Coix seed (Yi Yi Ren) and Talc (Hua Shi) and the formula Xuanbi Tang.2. Eczema. The decoction of the herb is used for external washing.3. Turbid dampness blocking the spleen and stomach manifested as vomiting. Diarrhea, cramps and abdominal pain. Silkworm excrement (Cansha) is used with Scutellaria root (Huang Qin), Chaenomeles fruit (Mu Gua) and Evodia fruit (Wu Zhu Yu) in the formula Canshi Tang.
