Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-medial intermuscle of thigh.
In the superficial layer, there are the anterior cutaneous branches of the femoral nerve and great saphenous vein. In the deep layer, there are the muscular branch of the femoral artery and vein and the femoral nerve. 


Location:
Sit upright with knee joints flexed or lie supinely; 3 cun above the medial superior horn of patella, 1 cun above XuehaiSP10(Xuehai (SP10)).
Function:
Activating blood and dispersing wind.


Indications:
Rubella, eczema, and gastrointestinal parasite diseases.


Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly to 0.5-1 cun deep; needling response: local soreness and distension, sometimes radiating toward the hip; moxibustion: using 3-7 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 5-15 min.
