Gallbladder Meridian

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-epicranial aponeurosis-loose connective tissue below aponeurosis.
There are the anatomotic brabches of the supraorbital and greater occipital nerves and the parietal branches of the superficial temporal artery and vein in this area.


Location:
Sit upright with one's back propped; firstly, locate ToulinqiGB15(Toulinqi (GB15)) on the vertical line passing through the pupil, 4 cun directly above ToulinqiGB15(GB15).
Function:
Refreshing oneself and improving eyesight, removing wind and relieving pain.


Indications:
Migraine and vertigo.


Prescription:
Combined use with NeiguanPC6 (Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point) for treatment of vertigo; and with QiuhouEXHN7 (EX-HN7) for treatment of optic neuritis.


Methods:
Insert the needle subcutaneously to 0.3-0.5 cun depth; needling response: local sensation of numbness and distention; moxibustion: using 3-5 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 10 min.
