Pediatrics

Infant intestinal paralysis is causes by cold and diet disorder, the main symptoms include continuous high fever, coma, blue and grey face color, purple dry lips, vomiting, abdominal distention as drum, bowel sounds disappear, urinary and fecal incontinence. Selected points: Shuigou (GV26), Shi Xuan points, Tianshu (ST25) Front-Mu Point of the Large Intestine. Mild reinforcing-reducing method is employed, getting needling response after needling insertion, equably raising, inserting, pinching and twisting by both hands, needle retaining for 15 minutes, moving the needle one time in every 5 minutes. Moxibustion in Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point and penetrates to Waiguan (TE5) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point, Zusanli (ST36) He-Sea Point penetrates to Yinlingquan (SP9) He-Sea Point, moxibustion in Sanyinjiao (SP6). Meanwhile, combining with navel acupuncture and external apply. Using the mixture of Wu Zhu Yu, Cong Bai powder and appropriate amount of vinegar, taking pill size mixture on navel and binding up with gauze, use 1 time in every 12 hours. Treatment result: the symptoms are relieved evidently after treatment for 40 minutes, the abdominal distention is relieved, bowel sound recovers, evacuating appears, the patients have urine and stools, fever relieves, the purple color in the face and lips becomes ruddy, patients are sober up, the dark fingerprint changes to pink. Acupuncture and moxibusion one time respectively, combining with 3 times of navel treatment and external apply, the patients are cured.
