Pediatrics

Physiology of infants is characterized by “liver is easily excessive” and “spleen is easily deficient”. We often apply the method of tonifying earth for restraining wood to treat infantile diseases and obtain good effects.
1. Vomiting: Modification on Jie Gan Jian He Zuo Jin Wan, ingredients includes Huang Lian, Ban Xia, Zhu Ru, Sheng Jiang, Da Zao, Wu Zhu Yu, Chuan Lian Zi etc.
2. Infantile diarrhea: Tong Xie Yao Fang including Bai Zhu, Bai Shao, Chen Pi, Fang Feng, for spleen qi deficiency and descending of clear yang leading to prolonged Diarrhea, adding Shen Ma, Ge Gen to ascend yang and stop diarrhea.
3. Chronic convulsion: Li Zhong Wan and Bai Shao, Gou Teng, Tian Ma, ingredients include Fu Zi, Gan Jiang, Gan Cao, Bai Shao, Gou Teng, Tian Ma, Jiang Can, Shan Yi, Fang Feng etc.
4. Chronic viral hepatitis: Chai Hu Shu Gan San modification. We remove Chuan Xiong and add Yin Chen, Zhi Zi, Fu Ling to clear heat and eliminate dampness.
