Pediatrics

Upper respiratory tract infection is acute inflammation due to pathogens attack nose, pharynx, tonsils and throat, it has infectivity. It is commonly caused by infection viral, some cases caused by mycoplasma and bacterial infection, it generally follows the virus infection and the pathogenetic condition is severe. It is the common disease for children. There are 36 children patients whose course of disease is 6 months to 3 years, all of them get upper respiratory tract infection for 4 times during every 3 months, the treatment effect are unsatisfactory after many times of anti-viral, antibiotic therapy. Treatment method: the children who are under 3 years old take Liu Wei Di Huang Wan and Yang Yin Qing Fei Wan alternately, 1/4 to 1/3 pills each time, cutting the pills into pieces, then adding the pieces into warm water and mixing round the pieces to paste liquid and taking, 3 times per day. As for children beyond 3 years old, Liu Wei Di Huang Wan concentrated pills and Yang Yin Qing Fei Wan are taken alternately by children. Liu Wei Di Huang concentrated pills 2-8 pills each time, the adults take the same dosage; Yang Yin Qing Fei Wan 1/3 pill in the beginning, increasing 1/4 pill each elder age. 1 pill is the maximum, the adults take the same dosage, the two Chinese patent medicine are taken alternately, 3 times per day, 2 weeks are one course, continuously taking for 3-4 courses. Treatment result: continuously taking for 3-4 courses, following up for 6 months after the completion of  the treatment. The total effective rate is 97.2%.
