Internal Medicine

Diabetic foot is the chronic pathological changes of diabetes. The blood supply insufficiency is caused by pathological changes of cutaneous arterioles due to long term diabetes, and leads to cyanosis or ischemic ulcer of local skin. It occurs on the foot, hence, named as diabetic foot. Besides the external application in clinic, the treatment combines with internal medicine also.
(1) Clearing away heat and toxins: the common formulas are Wu Wei Xiao Du Yin, Huang Lian Jie Du Tang and Yin Hua Jie Du Tang, etc. the self-made Yin Qiao Er Huang Tang can be used also. The component is: Jin Yin Hua, Lian Qiao, Ye Ju Hua, Pu Gong Ying, Zi Hua Di Ding, Xia Ku Cao, raw Zhi Zi, Huang Lian, Huang Qin, Yu Xing Cao, Bai Hua She She Cao, Bai Lian and Shan Ci Gu.
(2) Clearing away heat and benefiting dampness: Er Miao Wan, Bi Shen Shi Tang and Wu Shen Tang, etc are commonly used. The author have treated this disease by self-made Jie Du Li Shi Tang and the component is: Jin Yin Hua, Zi Hua Di Ding, Huang Bai, raw Yi Yi Ren, Fu Ling, Cang Zhu, Ze Xie, Tong Cao, Che Qian Zi (be packaged), Mu Dan Pi, Tu Fu Ling, Chi Xiao Dou, Xi Xian Cao and Bai Xian Pi.
(3) Harmonizing and activating ying-blood: Tao Hong Si Wu Tang and Huo Xue San Yu Tang are commonly used. The component of self-made He Ying Lian Chuang Tang: Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong, Chi Shao, prepared Di Huang, Hong Hua, Tao Ren, Mu Dan Pi, Ru Xiang, Mo Yao, fried Yuan Hu, Dan Shen, Chuan Shan Jia and Ze Lan.
