External Medicine
All the 16 cases are outpatients in this hospital. All the patients have the syndromes as progressive dysuria and increasing of nocturia. Type-B ultrasonic shows: prostatic hypertrophy. The basic prescription is modification of Wen Dan Tang. Prescription: Zhi Ke, Zhu Ru, Chen Pi, Ban Xia, Fu Ling and Prepared Gan Cao. Add Pei Lan, Yi Yi Ren and Bai Dou Kou for stagnation of damp and turbid in middle energizer and obvious spleen and stomach deficiency; add Huang Bai, Zhi Mu and Ze Xie for severe damp heat in lower energizer  with manifestations of drippling, frequent, burning sensation and sticky urination; add Lu Lu Tong, Wang Bu Liu Xing, Dan Shen and Niu Xi for stagnation of blood and obstruction of urination.
Treatment results: the total effective rate is 80%.
