Internal Medicine

122 cases are treated within 24 hours from outbreak to admission. All of them are tested by brain CT scan, and meet the diagnosis of cerebral hemorrhage. There are 63 cases in observation group, 59 cases in control group. Treatment: in the acute stage, both groups remain in bed, keep respiratory tract unobstructed, apply oxygen for unconscious patients, reduce high blood pressure, and control hydrocephalus to reduce intracranial pressure by dehydrating agents such as mannite and nicorol, keep water-electrolyte balance, apply neurotrophy medicine and necessary supportive care and apply antibiotics for infection. Add San Shui capsule for observation group in 72 hours after outbreak, 5g for once. The conscious patients take orally, and unconscious patients take it by nasal feeding; twice a day and one course is 30 days. San Shui Capsule is composed of Shui Zhi, San Qi, Da Huang and Xue Jie. Grind into fine powder separately, mix well by 5:3:1:1, and encapsulate for reserve. 0.5g drugs in one capsule. Shui Zhi should be used after atmospheric drying without broiled. Because of the rammish odour, it is better encapsulate it and take it orally so as not to get nausea and vomiting after taking drugs.

Results: the total effective rate is 72% in observation group, 49% in control group. There is remarkable difference after statistics processing and the curative effect of observation group is better than that of control group. The observation also indicates that San Shui capsule can obviousl improve absorbing of intracranial hematomay.
