Tonsil (MA77)

Acupuncture Ear Points

Location:
A grid of nine equal sections is delineated on the frontal surface of the earlobe by drawing three equidistant horizontal line below the lower border of the cartilege of the notch between the tragus and the antitragus, and two equidistant vertical lines. The sections are numbered from anterior to posterior and from top to bottom. Tonsil is located on the eighth section of the earlobe grid.

Function: 
Clearing heat, detoxifying, relieving pain, and dissolving masses.

Indications: 
Acute tonsillitis, periodic facial paralysis, acne, and pharyngitis.
